CHATEAU DES ROQUES
In Vacqueyras, in the shade of the plane trees, sits Chateau des Roques and the splendid vineyard of 36 hectares resting quietly on a stony plate. At the turn of the century, the property consisted of the Hameau des Roques including the dwellings, a vault and sheep-folds built out of dry stones.
The owner, Pierre Seroul, and the vinificator André Fregière shared their passion to produce a great year 2007 by working hard to improve their wine making equipment as well as the wine storehouses for the barrels. Vacqueyras has been a controlled label of origin since 1990. Color garnet-red very shining, rich person and intense. With the nose, one indicates black fruits and spices which intermingle. Fatty and full up front, this stops some with notes of extremely tempting spices. A beautiful wine balanced perfectly with a generous matter having a long tasty final.
