  • Domaine Les Aphillanthes Cotes-du-Rhone Villages Rasteau '1921' 2016
    $29.00
Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. 92% Grenache, 7% Mourvèdre, 1% Carignan. Biodynamic. "I suspect the 2016 Rasteau Cuvee 1921 is the finest wine to date from this estate; it’s unquestionably one of the finest Rasteau I’ve tasted. Flat-out stunning notes of spring flowers, orange blossom, violets, and blueberries all emerge from this full-bodied effort that has ample power and richness, yet beautiful elegance and purity at the same time. It’s going to benefit from a year or two of cellaring and keep for a decade." — 95 Points, Jeb Dunnuck (May 2019)

  • Domaine de Ferrand Cotes-du-Rhone La Ferrande Syrah 2016
    $23.00
Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. 100% Syrah. "A Côtes du Rhône that needs to be tasted to be believed, the 2016 Domaine de Ferrand Côtes-du-Rhône La Ferrand comes from older Syrah vines around the estate (just to the north of Châteauneuf du Pape) and was brought up in barrel (I think this is the only wine from the estate to see oak). Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a vivid bouquet of blueberries, ground pepper, violets, and floral notes. I’d probably guess Cote Rotie in a blind tasting and it’s medium to full-bodied, has a layered, elegant texture, beautiful tannins, and a great finish." — 93 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, (May 2019)

  • Domaine Saint-Damien Gigondas 'La Louisiane' 2017
    $37.00
Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 5% balance of Cinsault and Syrah. "Deeply colored, the 2016 Gigondas La Louisiane comes from single vineyard on the lower plain, not far from the estate, and is 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, and the balance Syrah and Cinsault. It offers a classic bouquet of dark berry fruits, peppery herbs, garrigue, and obvious minerality. Reminding me of the 2010 with its pure, straight style, it’s full-bodied and elegant on the palate, and is going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age." — 96 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com (Sept. 2018)

  • Domaine Les Aphillanthes Cotes-du-Rhone 'Le Cros' Syrah 2015
    $20.00
Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. 100% Syrah. Biodynamic. Green-hued yellow. "The Syrah-dominated 2015 Côtes du Rhône Villages Cuvee du Cros is one of the few wines from this estate that’s aged in barrel. It offers lots of graphite, pepper, black and blue fruits and toasty oak as well as full-bodied richness, sweet fruit and plenty of finesse. It’s showing plenty of oak, but also ample fruit and depth." — 89-91 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate #228 (Dec. 2016)

Red wine. Northern Rhône, France. Sustainable. 100% Syrah. Brilliant violet. Vibrant blackberry and boysenberry aromas, lifted by a spicy peppery element.
