  • Patrick & Christophe Bonnefond Vin de Pays Viognier 2016
    $20.00
White wine. Northern Rhône, France. Sustainable. 100% Viognier. "Pale gold. Aromas of ripe citrus and pit fruits and jasmine are complicated by hints of honey and ginger. Juicy and seamless on the palate, offering peach nectar and tangerine flavors that show very good clarity and spicy cut. The peachy note carries through the incisive finish, which hangs on with very good tenacity." — 90 Points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous (May 2018)

  • Vignoble Alain Ignace Vacqueyras Rouge 'Pendant' 2016
    $20.00
Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah. "The 2016 Pendant Vacqueyras Rouge is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, from 30-40-year-old vines, brought up all in concrete tanks. Its medium-ruby color is followed by a perfumed bouquet of wild strawberries, cherries, garrigue and dried flowers. Medium-bodied, ethereally textured, with fine tannin and a great finish, it's going to keep for 8-10 years." — 90 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com (Nov. 2017)

  • Domaine Saladin Cotes-du-Rhone Villages Blanc 'Per El' 2016
    $20.00

White wine. Southern Rhône, France. Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Clairette, Grenache blanc, Bourboulenc. Organic. A blend of 6 varieties planted side by side, sometimes in full rows or intermingled, on deep soiled terraces of ‘galet roulés’ (large, rounded stones). These 40 plus year-old vines on the plateau of Brissane benefit from south-east exposure. Bright and minerally on the incisive nose, displaying intense Meyer lemon, pear and honeysuckle scents and flavors and a hint of quinine. Silky, focused and dry, showing a deft combination of depth and vivacity and a hint of fennel on the back half. Closes stony and long, displaying repeating florality and a lingering suggestion of candied lemon.

"Similarly colored, the 2016 Gigondas Vieilles Vignes (80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre) offers a killer bouquet of blackcurrants, sappy garrigue, exotic spices, and leafy herbs. It's full-bodied, ultra-pure, seamless and silky, with no hard edges and beautiful balance. Checking in as a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre brought up in older foudre, don't miss this beauty!" — 96 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com (Sept. 2018)

  • Domaine Saint-Damien Gigondas 'Les Souteyrades' 2016
    $33.00
Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. 80% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre. "The 2016 Gigondas Les Souteyrades checks in as 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre that was brought up all in foudre. It's another powerful, concentrated, awesome wine that has slightly more exotic notes of black raspberries, crushed flowers, spice, and sappy garrigue. I almost always find a citrus note in this cuvée, which is full-bodied, opulent and mouthfilling on the palate, yet always stays graceful and lively." — 97 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com (Sept. 2018)

  • Domaine Saint-Damien Gigondas 'La Louisiane' 2016
    $32.00
Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 5% balance of Cinsault and Syrah. "Deeply colored, the 2016 Gigondas La Louisiane comes from single vineyard on the lower plain, not far from the estate, and is 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, and the balance Syrah and Cinsault. It offers a classic bouquet of dark berry fruits, peppery herbs, garrigue, and obvious minerality. Reminding me of the 2010 with its pure, straight style, it’s full-bodied and elegant on the palate, and is going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age." — 96 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com (Sept. 2018)

Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. 80% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre. "Utilizing the same 80-20 blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre favored in many of the estate's wines, the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu Vieilles Vignes offers hints of garrigue interlaced among ripe black cherries. It's full-bodied, lush, drink-now stuff, despite having a bit of tannin on the finish." — 91 Points, Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate #238 (Aug. 2018)
