The only wine from the estate to see the inside of a barrel, the Côtes du Rhône Cuvee la Ferrande is 100% Syrah that’s aged 12 months in demi-muids. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and with impressive ripeness and density (this vintage yielded mostly mid-weight wines), it reveals classic Syrah notes of plums, blackberry, violets, peppery herbs and leather on the nose. It should drink nicely on release and have 7-10 years of overall longevity.
