"The Aux Bouthières bottling from Domaine de la Chapelle is barrel-fermented and raised in a mix of new, one wine and two wine casks. This single vineyard bottling hails from clay and limestone soils and the 2018 is quite refined on both the nose and palate, with the bouquet offering up a fine blend of apple, pear, almond, chalky soil tones, buttery oak and a topnote of citrus zest. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and shows off a fine girdle of acidity, with fine mid-palate depth, excellent balance and grip and a long, complex and classy finish.
