
Red wine. Roussillon, France. Organic. 100% Carignan Noir. Hand-harvested in small cases from a selection of three parcels of 30-year-old Carignan vines that are separately vinified. Brought up all in concrete tanks. Notes of leather, black cherries, plums and savory herbs all emerge from this medium-bodied, fresh, lively 2017. The aromatics and flavors of this wine lend themselves to dishes with lots of depth of flavor but aren’t too heavy; grilled or roasted meats like lamb and goat would work nicely.
