Red wine. Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy, France. Sustainable. 100% Pinot Noir. From 44-year-old vines planted on a clayey-limestone and marl, covered with gravels and limestone pebbles. Grapes are 100% destemmed prior to ferment. Aged 18 months in oak barrels (30% new oak). Expressive nose of menthol, earth and dark berries. Hallmark Mercurey nuances lead to rich and ripe medium weight flavors that are shaped by firm tannins. The powerful, muscular and rustic finish displays fine length and very good depth that should only improve with time in bottle.
