Red wine. Roussillon, France. Biodynamic. 40% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Carignan. Made from vines ranging in age from 40- to 120+-years old, all planted on stony soils of marl and schist. This is a wine of deep character and complexity. Well-structured with beautiful aromas of roses, spice, cherries, and boysenberries. On the palate, the wine shows like the nose but with added elements of roasted meat and hints of black coffee and bay leaves. This is a great wine to pair with lamb prepared with garlic and rosemary.
