From the Grand Cru Hengst (marly limestone with a bit of sandstone) this 2012 offers a very smoky, leathery aroma of Pinot and dark-toned fruit flavors. Silky textured, very firm and tight but with fine tannins, the Hengst is a very finessed and elegant Pinot with a very long and tension-filled finish. Gorgeous!
