  • Philippe Chavy Bourgogne Chardonnay 2016 (FULL CASE)
    $192.00

White wine. Burgundy, France. Biodynamic. 100% Chardonnay. This is a Bourgogne Blanc that punches well out of its weight class. Most of the fruit comes from Puligny-Montrachet and the rest comes from Meursault. The vines are just on the wrong side of the line to qualify for village designations. This is an elegant and complex wine, with flavors of quince, apple, yellow citrus, and plenty of minerality. The acidity is bright and the finish is long. While this wine is easy to drink on it’s own, try it with chicken braised with tarragon and white wine and a touch of cream.

  • Domaine Guerrin Saint Veran 'Le Clos Vessats' 2017
    $20.00
White wine. Mâconnais, Burgundy, France. Sustainable. 100% Chardonnay. "The 2017 Saint-Véran 'Le Clos Vessats' from Domaine Guerrin et Fils in Vergisson is their younger vine bottling from this appellation, as this two hectare Clos is planted with fifteen year-old vines. However, the vineyard is steep and faces southwest in exposition, giving good mid-palate stuffing from these younger vines. The 2017 version is very pretty and quite classic in profile, offering up scents of apple, toasty soil elements, a touch of hazelnut, white flowers and a hint of orange peel in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, focused and full-bodied, with a good core, zesty acids and very good grip and soil signature on the long finish. This is ready to drink right out of the blocks, but clearly has the balance to also age quite nicely." — 89 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar #79 (Jan./Feb. 2019)

  • Domaine Rapet Pére & Fils Bourgogne Blanc 2017
    $22.00

White wine. Burgundy, France. Sustainable. 100% Chardonnay. A pretty and fresh regional wine, this Bourgogne blanc sees aging in around 30% new French oak—enough to give the wine structure without overwhelming the grapes. Expect a hint of vanilla from the oak and flavors of pear, apple, and citrus. This is a wine to pear with a fish and poultry dishes, red mullet with lemon beurre blanc and parsley would match nicely.

  • Domaine Confuron-Gindre Coteaux Bourguignons 2016
    $16.00

Red wine. Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France. Sustainable. Pinot Noir and Gamay. A fine, quite lush, blackberry and raspberry scented bouquet. The palate is fruit forward and quite tensile on the entry. Silky, polished tannins add to an overall feeling of finesse, something that is hard to find at this level. The used oak is nicely integrated with a fresh and vibrant finish. This is a good red to serve as an aperitif or with lighter red meat dishes.
