  • Chateau Grange Cochard Morgon Vieilles Vignes 2017
    $22.00
Red wine. Morgon, Beaujolais, France. Sustainable. 100% Gamay. "The 2017 Morgon Vieilles Vignes wafts from the glass with a pretty bouquet of red cherries, rose petals and wild berries. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with a layered core of fleshy fruit, ripe acids and powdery tannins that gently assert themselves on the finish. It will be even better after a year in bottle." — 91 Points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate #244 (August 2019)

  • Chateau Grange Cochard Cote du Py 2018
    $25.00
Red wine. Morgon, Beaujolais, France. Sustainable. 100% Gamay. "The 2018 Morgon 'Côte du Py' from Sarah and James Wilding’s Grange Cochard is a lovely wine in the making, coming in at fourteen percent octane and delivering a deep and sappy nose of cassis, black cherries, espresso, bonfire, grilled gamebird, dark soil tones and a topnote of currant leaf. On the palate the wine is deep, ripe, full-bodied and powerful in personality, with a rock solid core of fruit, superb soil signature, firm tannins and great length and grip on the nascently complex, tangy and broad-shouldered finish. This is vibrant and precise, despite plenty of muscle, and should age brilliantly." — 93+ Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar #85 (January/February 2020)

    $24.00

Red wine. Morgon, Beaujolais, France. Sustainable. 100% Gamay. Hand picked and hand sorted. Matured in barrels for 9 to 12 months. Minimal filtration on bottling and low sulphur. Total production around 4,000 bottles from the vines directly in front of the Château (all over 100 years old!). Lightly oaked with vanilla accents, rich on the palate, generous and silky, underpinned with well-structured tannins. An atypical Morgon, but remarkable for its harmony and elegance.

  • Chateau Grange Cochard Cote du Py 2015 (Magnum)
    $60.00
Red wine. Morgon, Beaujolais, France. Sustainable. 100% Gamay. "The 2015 Morgon Côte du Py is superb, revealing a lavish and beautifully pure bouquet in which aromas of ripe black cherries and dried flowers mingle with subtle notions of licorice and rich soil. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and textural, with a layered core, incredibly fine tannin and a succulent, precise finish. One senses the ripeness of the vintage, but there isn't a trace of sur maturité in this wonderfully complete, harmonious Morgon. Enjoy it over the next decade or more." — 93 Points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate (May 2018)
