Red wine. Georgia. Organic. 100% Tsolikauri. There are more than 500 indigenous grape varieties in Georgia and Saperavi is probably the best-known red variety. This is a big, rich wine with a dense tannic structure that sill manages to be elegant. Dark fruit flavors (plum, black cherry, boysenberry) and baking spice dominate the wine. The wine sees no wood; fermentation and aging occur in the traditional Qveri. This is a wine that needs to be decanted and allowed to breath. Pair it with hearty meat dishes, particularly stews and braises.
