A fine bouquet with nice intensity and persistence, offering slightly floral notes, with a fresh, smooth, graceful and well-structured palate.

The 2015 Rosso Il Moree IGT is a medium to full-bodied, complex red that has a touch of Amarone character in its ripe plum, baking spice, chocolate and tobacco-scented bouquet. It has solid richness and depth, yet stays nicely balanced and drinkable.

The wine is aged for a year in stainless steel tanks before spending six months in large wooden barrels to round out and soften the wine. The result is an expressive Chianti Classico which shows beautiful fruit, depth, and balance. Expect flavors of sour cherry, cranberry, and red plum, there is a herbaciousness and spice on the finish along with great acidity to bring you back for another sip. This is a quintessential wine for a pasta with a hearty Bolognese sauce, or grilled steak served with broccoli rabe sautéed with garlic, anchovies, and chili flake.
