  • Clos Marie Pic Saint Loup Metairies Du Clos Vieilles Vignes 2014
    $29.00
Red wine. Pic Saint Loup, Languedoc, France. Biodynamic. 50% Grenache, 30% Carignan, 20% Syrah. "The 2014 Pic Saint Loup Metairies du Clos Vieilles Vignes checks in 50% Grenache, 30% Carignan, and 20% Syrah brought up in demi-muids. It’s a medium to full-bodied, impeccably balanced 2014. Offering notes of black cherries, black raspberries, new leather, and distinct minerality, it’s focused and elegant on the palate, with present tannins. This beautiful, complete wine will benefit from another year in bottle and keep for upwards of a decade." — 94 Points, Jeb Dunnuck (May 2019)

  • Domaine Gauby Vieilles Vignes Rouge 2015
    $40.00

Red wine. Roussillon, France. Biodynamic. Carignan, Grenache, Mourvedre. Made from vines whose age range from 40 to 120+ years old all planted on stony soils of marl and schist. This is a wine of deep character and complexity. Well-structured with beautiful aromas of roses, spice, cherries, boysenberries. On the palate, the wine shows like the nose but with added elements of roasted meat and hints of black coffee and bay leaves. This is a great wine to pair with lamb prepared with garlic and rosemary. It will even play well with North African flavors.

  • Domaine Gauby Cotes du Roussillon Villages 'La Roque' 2012
    $80.00
Red wine. Roussillon, France. Biodynamic. "The la Roque cuvée from the Gauby family is produced entirely from eighty year-old grenache vines, with the wine hailing from the same vineyards from which the Muntada bottling is selected. The 2012 la Roque comes in at an even thirteen percent octane and is nicely pale in color (as grenache ought to be), offering up a bright and complex bouquet of raspberries, cherries, a touch of fruitcake, beautiful spice tones (more cloves and cinnamon, rather than garrigue), Provençal soil tones, spiced meats and a gentle topnote of lavender. On the palate the wine is pure, full and impressively transparent, with a good core, a fine impression of stony minerality, ripe, moderately chewy tannins and a long, tangy and still quite primary finish. This is still a young and slightly angular wine that needs more bottle age, but it has lovely sweet red fruit at the core and impressive soil signature and will be excellent when its blossoms." — 92+ Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar #69 (May/June 2017)

  • Domaine des Soulanes Kaya Rouge 2017
    $20.00

Red wine. Roussillon, France. Organic. 100% Carignan Noir. Hand-harvested in small cases from a selection of three parcels of 30-year-old Carignan vines that are separately vinified. Brought up all in concrete tanks. Notes of leather, black cherries, plums and savory herbs all emerge from this medium-bodied, fresh, lively 2017. The aromatics and flavors of this wine lend themselves to dishes with lots of depth of flavor but aren’t too heavy; grilled or roasted meats like lamb and goat would work nicely.
