  • Domaine Gadais Muscadet 2018
    $13.00
White wine. Loire Valley, France. Sustainable. 100% Melon de Bourgogne. "The 2018 Muscadet 'Sur Lies' bottling from Christophe and Pierre-Henri Gadais is their 'entry level bottling' and it is a beautiful example of the vintage, offering up a superb bouquet of lemon, green apple, stony minerality, dried flowers, ocean breeze and a gentle hint of leesy tones. On the palate the wine is bright, zesty and fullish, with a lovely core of fruit, excellent focus and grip and really quite a good girdle of acidity for the 2018 vintage. First class Muscadet." — 91 Points, John Gilman, View From The Cellar #87 (May/June 2020)

  • Marc Plouzeau Perles Fines Sparkling Brut Rosé NV
    $20.00
Sparkling wine. Chinon, Loire Valley, France. Organic. 100% Cabernet Franc. "Marc Plouzeau’s 'Perles Fines' Rosé Pétillant is a lovely wine, showing more elegance on the nose and palate than the 'Perle Sauvage' version. The bouquet shows lovely cabernet franc character in its mix of white cherries, a touch of tangerine, currant leaf, lovely soil tones and a bit of smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and very nicely balanced, with frothy mousse, a good core and nice length and grip on the vibrant finish. A tasty bottle of sparkling cabernet franc, with plenty of elegance." — 88 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar #59 (Sept./Oct. 2015)

  • Clement & Florian Berthier L’Instant Pinot Noir Rosé 2019
    $11.00
Rosé wine. Loire Valley, France. 100% Pinot Noir. Sustainable. "The wine is a fairly deep salmon color and offers up a gently candied bouquet of cherries, watermelon, chalky soil tones and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and quite solid at the core, with zesty acids, good length and grip and almost a wisp of backend tannin on the long and quite intensely flavored finish." — 87 Points, John Gilman, View From The Cellar #87 (May/June 2020)

  • Marc Plouzeau Rive Gauche Chinon Rosé 2019
    $15.00
Rosé wine. Chinon, Loire Valley, France. 100% Cabernet Franc. Organic. "The 2019 Chinon Rosé from Domaine de la Bonnelière is a nicely vibrant salmon color and offers up a bright and gently vinous bouquet of cherries, orange peel, gentle smokiness, dried flowers and a nice base of soil tones that I suspect are from sandier soils. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and quite complex, with excellent depth at the core, bright acids and lovely balance and grip on the long and eminently satisfying finish. This is first class Chinon Rosé! 2020-2025." — 91 Points, John Gilman, View From The Cellar #87 (May/June 2020)

  • Marc Plouzeau Sauvignon Touraine 2019
    $15.00

White wine. Touraine, Loire Valley, France. Organic. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. From chalky, flinty soils along the Cher, Marc Plouzeau has crafted a 2018 Touraine Sauvignon redolent of white peach and passion fruit; lean and quite dense; but finishing with refreshing juiciness, a saline tang, and hints of cherry pit and pistachio. Enjoy it over the next 12-15 months.

  • Domaine Anthony & David Girard Sancerre 'Les Monts Damnes' 2018
    $29.00
White wine. Sancerre, Loire Valley, France. Sustainable. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. "The 2018 Sancerre “les Monts Damnés” from Anthony and David Girard is an excellent young wine, with the profound base of minerality of this great terroir front and center on both the nose and palate. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a youthful blend of fresh lime, gooseberry, complex limestone minerality, lovely botanicals, citrus peel and a bit of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and mineral-driven, with a superb core of fruit, a very good girdle of acidity for the vintage, lovely focus and grip and a long, pure and nascently complex finish. As the acids here are not snappy, the wine can already be drunk with great pleasure, but there are many more layers of complexity to unfold here with a few years in the cellar. First class Monts Damnés! 2020-2035." — 92+ Points, John Gilman, View From The Cellar #87 (May/June 2020)

  • Clément & Florian Berthier Coteaux du Giennois Pinot Noir Rose 2019
    $16.00
Rosé wine. Loire Valley, France. Sustainable. 100% Pinot Noir. "The 2019 Coteaux du Giennois Rosé from the Berthiers is made from a blend of pinot noir and gamay. It is a beautiful salmon color and offers up a succulent bouquet of cherries, watermelon, violets and a nice base of chalky soil tones. On the palate the wine is bright, zesty and full- bodied, with a fine core of fruit, good focus and grip and a long, vibrant and surprisingly racy finish. The low yields and good summer months of 2019 have given this wine impressive depth and backend conviction. A great value! 2020-2025." — 90 Points, John Gilman, View From The Cellar #87 (May/June 2020)
