  • Marc Plouzeau Perles Fines Sparkling Brut Rosé NV
    $19.00
Sparkling wine. Chinon, Loire Valley, France. Organic. 100% Cabernet Franc. "Marc Plouzeau’s 'Perles Fines' Rosé Pétillant is a lovely wine, showing more elegance on the nose and palate than the 'Perle Sauvage' version. The bouquet shows lovely cabernet franc character in its mix of white cherries, a touch of tangerine, currant leaf, lovely soil tones and a bit of smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and very nicely balanced, with frothy mousse, a good core and nice length and grip on the vibrant finish. A tasty bottle of sparkling cabernet franc, with plenty of elegance." — 88 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar #59 (Sept./Oct. 2015)

  • Gerard & Pierre Morin Sancerre Cuvee Ovide 2016
    $28.00

White wine. Sancerre, Loire Valley, France. Sustainable. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. The cuvee Ovide comes from a single vineyard planted near the domain’s cellar. The vineyard was planted in the 50’s and the cuvée takes its name from the surname of the man who planted it. Grown on the pure limestone caillottes, which lend the wines intensity and a nervy core, which Bué is known for, with southwest exposition. Fermentation both in tanks (85%) and in barrels (15%). Wine kept on lees for 8 months and bottled without filtration. Loaded with ripe honeydew and citrus, its finish is almost adamantly marked by chalk and stone. The acidity, minerality, and citrus character of the wine make it a natural pairing with crustaceans and shellfish, particularly preparations with citrus in them.

  • Chateau de Fosse Seche Saumur Rouge Eolithe 2016
    $22.00

White wine. Saumur-Champigny, Loire Valley, France. Biodynamic. 100% Cabernet Franc. Grown on a stony Jurassic plateau of flint with gravel and some clay, but free of lime so that soil allows for deep root growth. Aged on the lees in old beer transportation tank for about 21 months. Offers a quintessential expression of the estate's unique jurassic terroir. Its bouquet contains notes of mint, minerals and smoke; on the palate, it's full of vibrant red fruit, dusty tannins, and a pleasing mineral finish.

  • Gerard & Pierre Morin Sancerre Chant de L'Orme 2015
    $24.00
White wine. Sancerre, Loire Valley, France. Sustainable. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. "The wine is bottled unfiltered and the 2015 is excellent, offering up a bright and complex bouquet of lime zest, pear, a touch of candied orange, chalky soil tones, anise and just a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite round on the attack for Bué Sancerre, with a good core, fine focus and grip and a long, fairly complex finish." — 90+ Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar #77 (Sept./Oct. 2018)
