White wine. Mâconnais, Burgundy, France. Organic. 100% Chardonnay. From a small parcel of 40+-year-old vines, planted on clay top soils over a base of limestone. A blend of 30% barrel fermentation and the balance stainless steel. Ripe and pretty, offering up a fine bouquet of pear, peach, toasty soil tones, honeysuckle and a delicate framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and juicy, with a fine core, good framing acids and lovely balance on the finish.
