  • Domaine Les Grands Bois Côtes du Rhône Villages Sainte Cécile Cuvée Philippine 2018
    $17.00

Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah. The grapes come from 12-60 year old vines in the village of Sainte Cécile. The fermentation and elevage are all done in tank, preserving the minerality and fresh fruit character of the wine. Look for a deep color and good structure. The fruit is deep and concentrated, but still balanced, with flavors of balck plum, cherry, and boysenberry. There are also subtle notes of strawberry, spice, and roses. The wine has a mineral backbone and fresh acidity keep this wine from being one dimensional. This wine will pair happily with burgers from the grill, or for something more elevated try it with duck breast and sauce chasseur.

  • Yann Chave Hermitage 2018
    $97.00
Red wine. Hermitage, Northern Rhône, France. Organic. 100% Syrah. "Inky ruby. Ripe blackcurrant and cherry liqueur aromas are complicated by suggestions of smoky minerals, exotic spices, olive paste and succulent flowers. Concentrated black/blue fruit and spicecake flavors show impressive depth and become livelier with air. Velvety tannins add discreet grip to a very long, floral-tinged finish that echoes the smoke and spice notes." — 92-94 Points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous (July 2019)

"The 2018 Cotes du Rhone les Claux, a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, boasts bold notes of black cherries, mulberries and blackberries.
