  • Manzone Bricco San Pietro Fraschin Barolo 2012

Red wine. Barolo, Piedmont, Italy. Sustainable. 100% Nebbiolo. This wine is from the cru of Barolo called Bricco San Pietro located to the west of Monforte d’Alba. This is a Barolo that is accessible when young but can still age. On the nose and palate, it shows a hint of violet and some anise with bright tart cherries and currents. There are some inky undertones and an underlying earthiness which add depth and character to the wine. Try this with a ragu of wild boar over fresh tagliatelle; if you are short on wild boar, try a beef ragu instead.

  • Chateau de Fosse-Seche Saumur Blanc 'Arcane' A.O.C. 2016

White wine. Saumur-Champigny, Loire Valley, France. Biodynamic. 100% Chenin Blanc. An expressive bouquet with mineral, floral and yeasty flavors framing the elegant, ripe and well-concentrated fruit. Very pure, fresh and very elegant on the palate, with an excellent structure and lingering salinity, this is a medium-bodied, precise and very delicate Chenin Blanc from 16-year-old vines on a pebbly, chalk-free soil on a Jurassic plateau in Brossy. It's already a great drinking pleasure but can be aged for 10-15 years. This is a great wine to pair with cheese and cheese focused dishes or try it with the classic frisée aux lardon.
