  • Franz Hirtzberger Gruner Veltliner Rotes Tor Smaragd 2015
White wine. Wachau, Austria. Sustainable. 100% Grüner Veltliner. "The 2015 Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Spitzer Rotes Tor comes predominantly from gneiss soils and offers a lovely fine and coolish/stony bouquet with ripe apple and some lemon aromas which lead to a full-bodied, fresh and very elegant, very complex and lingering salty palate with a great purity and mineral expression. A stunningly intense and finesse-full GV with a great aging potential." — 92 Points, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate #225 (June 2016)
