  • Mathias Hirtzberger Grüner Veltliner Greif Smaragd 2016

White wine. Wachau, Austria. Sustainable. 100% Grüner Veltliner. From the Wösendorf vineyards of Bachsatz and Kollmütz. Picked on October 22 and November 24. Offers clear and charming fruit with some vegetal aromas on the nose. Clear, fresh and elegant on the palate, with intense but fresh and pure, salty-flavored fruit, this is a stimulating Grüner Veltliner with good phenolic grip on the finish. This is an outstanding wine to pair with vegetable based dishes, particularly those that utilize cabbage, brussels sprouts, or asparagus.
