In a region with some of the world's most varied and expressive terroirs, finding great Burgundy vintages often requires a laser focus.
That's why we're zooming in on the Côte d'Or, where the 2015 vintage was extraordinary, and where you can find top-flight quality at a range of prices.
Join us on Saturday from noon to 4pm, when we'll pour a line-up of 6 beautiful 2015 Burgundies from 5 emerging talents and niche producers with terroirs spanning the Côte d'Or!
We'll start with two 2015 whites—a ripe and juicy Bourgogne Blanc from Meursault master Remi Jobard, and a balanced Pernand-Vergelesses Village full of tropical fruit from emerging star winemaker Philippe Charlopin.
Next, we'll look at 2 excellent-value Pinot Noirs from Alain Jeanniard (whose Morey St Denis estate traces its roots back to 1755) and Bruno Desaunay (a producer of highly terroir-expressive Vosne Romanées).
Speaking of Vosne Romanée, we'll cap off the line-up with two wines from the appellation—a 1er Cru offering from Desaunay that radiates bright cherry flavors alongside smoke and earthiness, as well as a classy and penetrating cuvée from neighboring winemaker François Confuron.
