Are you on the fence about Chardonnay? This weekend's tasting (and special sale!) will make you a convert.
Chardonnay is arguably the single most polarizing variety of all of the noble grapes. When not handled properly, Chardonnay can come across sweet, overripe, and over-oaked, causing many to turn their noses up at the mere mention of Chardonnay.
But in the hands of our skilled Burgundy producers with fruit from some of the region's great terroirs, Chardonnay can be truly great—in fact, there may be no equal when it comes to white wine.
Join us from noon to 4pm on Saturday as we pour 6 exceptional white Burgundies from some of the region's best villages and vineyards, including Mercurey, Meursault, and the legendary Chassagne-Montrachet.
In addition, on Friday and Saturday, we'll be offering 20% off mix-and-match cases of all white Burgundies in the store!
This special case sale is a great opportunity to explore the geographic and stylistic diversity of our portfolio, and to fall in love with a grape that expresses its individual terroir in a way that few other varieties do.
Best of all, you can taste wines from producers who infuse every bottle they make with their own style and character—the Mâcon's Domaine Guerrin, Mercurey's Michel Juillot, Mersault's Michel Caillot, emerging superstar Philippe Charlopin, and elite Chassagne-Montrachet estate Domaine Vincent & Francois Jouard.
