Summer's here, which means everyone's turning to crisp Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadet, and rosé.
But if you're looking for something different this year, you'll definitely want to take a closer look at Riesling—one of wine world's most misunderstood grapes, and the heart of some of the best wines in our portfolio.
We'll be pouring six of those cuvées this Saturday from our top producers in Austria, Germany, and Alsace!
Aromatic, floral, and high in acidity, Riesling is famous for being highly expressive of its terroir, accounting for wide variation in the character of Rieslings grown in different countries and regions.
While you're probably thinking Germany, it's the most widely grown grape in Alsace, and is used by Austria's top winemakers to produce some of the country's most well-regarded wines.
We'll have Rieslings in a variety of styles and expressions this weekend, thanks to producers like Franz Hirtzberger, a pillar of Austrian winemaking who produces some of the country's best dry white wines...
Bernard Schoffit, a brilliant winemaker and pioneer in Alsace's greatest Grand Cru, Rangen de Thann...
...and Markus Hüls, an emerging talent who is breaking new ground in Germany's venerable Mosel region.
This weekend, we'll feature 6 excellent Riesling cuvées from these and other top producers at a range of price points. Click here for more details, including tasting notes and special pricing.
