Domaine Spotlight: Weingut Soellner

Crisp, pure, high-character wine you can enjoy with any outdoor meal? We'll take that all summer long.

And this weekend's tasting is the place to get it... all for less than $20/btl!

Join us Saturday, June 9, from noon to 4pm for a Domaine Spotlight tasting and sale featuring the outstanding biodynamic wines of Weingut Toni Soellner, a rising star of Austria's Wagram region.

Toni Soellner is a small-scale producer of handcrafted biodynamic wines in the hills of the Donauland, looking over the Danube valley and the Alps, just to the east of the Kamptal. Joined by his wife Daniela Vigne, this family operation is wholly dedicated to sustainable, biodynamic viticulture.

Soellner began his foray into wine and fruit-growing in 1989. Growing up at his parents' farm instilled in him an intimate connection to nature and a commitment to sustainability.

The Soellner approach produces wines that are markedly light, pure, and full of character, and the wines we'll feature on Saturday certainly fit the bill.

We'll pour 3 tiers of Soellner's Grüner Veltliners, a lush (and hard-to-find) Roter Veltliner, Soellner's impressively complex 2017 rosé, and an elegant Pinot Noir full of dark cherry.
