We recently posted to our Instagram about winter food-and-wine pairings, and your response got us thinking...
...what if we could create a line-up of wines that could pair with any winter dish our customers could think of?
Well, we have—and we're pouring it this Saturday as we feature 6 excellent winter-food-friendly wines from a variety of countries and regions. Stop by and find the perfect pairing for your next meal!
A fan of choucroute, braised cabbage, or other sauerkraut-infused dishes? Try a fresh, silken 92-point Riesling from Austrian superstar F.X. Pichler.
Or, go for a fuller, spicy Savagnin to pair with roasted squash or cumin-spiced chili.
Moving onto lighter red wines, we'll feature an earthly, floral Sancerre rouge (Pinot Noir) that's an outstanding accompaniment to coq au vin, as well as a Loire Valley Cabernet Franc that's full of cherry and smoke for seared meat and eggplant tagine.
Finally, we'll pour an intense and fruity Italian blend perfect for classic braises such as osso bucco, and a 93-point Syrah from the Northern Rhône that's a classic pairing for lamb.
Of course, you're always free to come to our tasting counter with your favorite winter recipe—with wines as flavorful and expressive as these, we guarantee you'll find an outstanding match.
