If novels had tasting notes, this one would be more than enough to convince us:
"Sweetbitter meets The Nightingale in this page-turning novel about a woman who returns to her family’s ancestral vineyard in Burgundy and unexpectedly uncovers a lost diary, an unknown relative, and a secret her family has been keeping since World War II."
On Tuesday, you can get a taste of the novel and the wines with a special Burgundy showcase featuring a line-up of 4 wines from some of our best portfolio producers, inspired by DC-based writer Ann Mah's novel The Lost Vintage!
We'll open a fresh, balanced Givry Blanc from family estate Domaine des Moirots, a well-crafted 2013 cuvée from Meursault master Michel Caillot, an impressively generous and sophisticated Epineuil wine from Marc Cameron (disciple of esteemed Chablis winemaker Francois Servin), and an oak-tinged Marsannay full of black fruit from perennial favorite Domaine Collotte.
Then, from 7-8pm, head over to the Cleveland Park Library for the latest in a series of free Tuesday Talks, where Ann will be interviewed by fellow Kennedy Warren resident Amy Henderson, historian emerita of the National Portrait Gallery.
