Red wine. St. Emilion, Bordeaux, France. Merlot, Cabernet Franc. A well-made St. Emilion with a ripe bouquet of cherry, plum, blackberry, and blackcurrant, with an undergirding of cocoa, leather, earth, and oak. On the palate, medium-plus body, smooth tannins, and balanced acidity, capped off by a lengthy finish. Excellent with lamb or beef.
