Red wine. Savoie, France. Sustainable. 100% Mondeuse. The vines are planted on limestone and clay hills and range from 20 to 70-years-old. Grapes are entirely hand harvest and 90% destemmed. Matured partly in vats and partly in 600-liter hogsheads barrels. Aromas of violets, red berries and pepper. Juicy, tart-edged mulberry; toasted walnut; black pepper; bittersweet herbal concentrates; and savory, invigorating salinity combine for a firmly tannic but highly expressive Mondeuse.
