Red wine. Chianti Classico, Tuscany, Italy. Integrated. 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo Nero, 5% Colorino. Castello di Uzzano is a property located in Greve in the heart of Chianti Classico. The wine is aged for a year in stainless steel tanks before spending six months in large wooden barrels to round out and soften the wine. The result is an expressive Chianti Classico which shows beautiful fruit, depth, and balance. Expect flavors of sour cherry, cranberry, and red plum, there is a herbaciousness and spice on the finish along with great acidity to bring you back for another sip. This is a quintessential wine for a pasta with a hearty Bolognese sauce, or grilled steak served with broccoli rabe sautéed with garlic, anchovies, and chili flake.
