Red wine. Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France. Sustainable. 100% Pinot Noir. The Marsannay en Montchenevoy is from a on hectare parcel of 45 year old vines on limestone soils. A medium bodied wine with fine tannins and in Charlopin's slightly more fruit forward style exhibits flavors of cherry, raspberry and blackberry. There is nuance and an earthy backbone to the wine. A natural pairing for this wine would be with a boeuf bourguignon, but a simple steak with a mushroom pan sauce would work nicely as well.
