Red wine. Arbois Pupillin, Jura, France. Sustainable. 100% Ploussard. The bouquet is delicate with wild aromas of redcurrant, strawberries and a hint of smokiness. Light on the palate, with great acidity and fine tannins. Flavors of raspberry, bitter cherry, and redcurrant with touch of gaminess on the back end. A really great Ploussard that is precise but at the same time rustic. With cured meats, particularly air dried ones like bresaola, this wine will sing; it will also stand up nicely to steak tartar or beef carpaccio.
