Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah. The grapes come from 12-60 year old vines in the village of Sainte Cécile. The fermentation and elevage are all done in tank, preserving the minerality and fresh fruit character of the wine. Look for a deep color and good structure. The fruit is deep and concentrated, but still balanced, with flavors of balck plum, cherry, and boysenberry. There are also subtle notes of strawberry, spice, and roses. The wine has a mineral backbone and fresh acidity keep this wine from being one dimensional.
