White wine. Kamptal, Austria. Sustainable. 100% Gruner Veltliner. "Apple, honeydew melon, white pepper and snap pea on the nose anticipate the generous primary juiciness, snap and incisive impingement delivered on a polished palate. Resinous notes from cask are nicely integrated here without drying things out. And despite (per the label) 13.5% alcohol, there is a welcome sense of lift that, like the wine’s sheer juicy generosity, is not encountered often in young examples of Grüner Veltliner from this heat-trapping loess site. Hints of iodine, alkali, mustard seed and fleur de sel add interest and invigoration to the vibrantly, mouthwateringly persistent finish. This is far and away the finest Grüner Veltliner I have tasted from Eichinger." — 92 Points, David Schildknecht, Vinous Media (December 2018)
