Red wine. Saumur-Champigny, Loire Valley, France. Biodynamic. 100% Cabernet Franc. Grown on a stony Jurassic plateau of flint with gravel and some clay, but free of lime so that soil allows for deep root growth. Aged on the lees in old beer transportation tank for about 21 months. Offers a quintessential expression of the estate's unique jurassic terroir. Its bouquet contains notes of mint, minerals and smoke; on the palate, it's full of vibrant red fruit, dusty tannins, and a pleasing mineral finish.
