White wine. Roussillon, France. Biodynamic. 50% Chardonnay, 20% Grenache Blanc, 20% Macabeu, 10% Vermentino. The Calcinaires Blanc bottling from Gérard and Lionel Gauby is made from an exotic blend of Macabeu, Vermentino, Chardonnay and Muscat, fermented and aged in stainless steel. Aromas of tart apple, green olive, salty soil tones, a touch of bay leaf, and a note of gently musky floral tones. On the palate, medium-bodied, crisp, and quite dry in style, with a good core. Lovely focus and grip on the long, zesty, and acid driven finish.
