White wine. Mosel, Germany. Organic. 100% Riesling. "In large part from closely pruned vines planted from 2009 to 2012 and reflecting old vine material from the Saar and Pfalz, this delivers a dusty sense of crushed stone suffusion and a site-typical smokiness on the nose. There is a gentle, slightly loose personality here vis-à-vis the impressive corresponding 2015, but this is generous with sheer juiciness of fresh mirabelle, apricot and lime, not to mention with charm. Around 11 grams of residual sugar are supportive of the fruit while leaving the finish essentially dry. The feel is seductively creamy without at all compromising refreshment, and subtly nutty piquancy and transparency to stony underpinnings lend complexity to a lusciously lingering finish." — 92 Points, David Schildknecht, Vinous (Jan. 2018)
