White wine. Italy. Montefalco, Umbria, Italy. Grechetto, Trebbiano Spoletino. "The 2020 Fijoa is lovely, offering up a deep and complex nose of peach, fresh apricot, lemongrass, a fine base of soil tones, citrus peel and a touch of smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and nicely influenced by its lees contact, with a good core and soil undertow, good focus and grip and a long, well-balanced finish. This does not have quite as much cut on the backend as the “128” bottling, but then again, these vines are not more than a hundred years of age. This is a very intriguing treatment of Trebbiano and I like it quite well, though I might opt to serve it with veal or chicken dishes, or with the cheese course at the end of the meal. 2022-2030." — 89 Points, John Gilman, View From The Cellar #101 (September / October 2022)
