Red wine. Montsant, Spain. Sustainable. 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot. This is Sara Perez's (of Mas Martinet) lone non-Priorat cuvée, representing a new and exciting foray into the surrounding Monstant region. A blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah, this wine is powerful yet velvety in texture, with strong aromas of red and black fruits and hints of tobacco and mocha. The flavors are just as rich and intense, but go down silky smooth and finish with a pleasant earthiness. A perfect accompaniment to grilled red meat, hearty red pasta sauces like Bolognese and peppery Romesco-style condiments.
