Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. 95% Syrah, 5% Viognier. Organic. From a selection of plots located in Saint Marcel d’Ardèche lieu-dit of Chaveyron. Archives testify that in 1422, Raymond Saladin purchased this then newly planted vineyard and 20 generations have followed in his path. This wine boasts perfumed and complex aromas of lavender, smoked meats and spring flowers that are grounded by a core of sweet berry and plum fruit. Medium-bodied, pure and nicely concentrated, with ripe tannic structure, it’s a character-filled effort that will drink nicely through 2025 or beyond.
