Red wine. Sudburgenland, Austria. Organic. 100% Blaufränkisch. Made from 60 plus year old Blaufränkish vines and aged in 500 liter oak barrels this wine shows the power and majesty that the grape can achieve. Deep and dense on the palate and nose. Look for aromas and flavors of blackberry, black cherry, black pepper, hints of strawberry. With a decant this will open up nicely but it can certainly be held for a few more years. Try this with grilled or roasted meats, venison and lamb immediately spring to mind.
