
White wine. Wagram, Austria. Biodynamic. 100% Grüner Veltliner. This small vineyard, which is located up in between Fumberg und Hengstberg, is characterized by a unique terroir. The soil consists of fertile primordial sea sand, which is covered by a clay soil layer whith great water capacity. The grapes are selected and handpicked as late as possible. Maceration takes place for at least 6 hours before berries are careful pneumatically pressed. The must is slowly fermented in large wooden barrels and our stoneware vessels. After fermentation the wine is aged on lees for a long period to gain full character. This unique Veltliner is bottled after long aging directly from the lees. The result is an opulent wine with loads of minerality, excellent structure, and great aging capacity.
