  • Chateau Grange Cochard Cote du Py 2016
    $25.00
Red wine. Morgon, Beaujolais, France. Sustainable. 100% Gamay. "The Château Grange Cochard 2016 Côte du Py is also an outstanding wine and the year in the bottle since I last tasted it has done nothing to dissuade me from the supposition that this is one of the wines of the vintage! The bouquet is pure and classy, offering up scents of red and black cherries, woodsmoke, raw cocoa, emerging notes of gamebird, fine mineral undertow, gentle floral tones and still that touch of orange peel in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with excellent focus and grip, suave tannins and a long, tangy and complex finish. Great juice from a great terroir in a superb vintage- what is not to like!" — 94+ Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar #79 (Jan. 2019)

  • Domaine Les Aphillanthes Cotes-du-Rhone 'Trois Cepages' 2016
    $17.00
Red wine. Southern Rhône, France. 33% Grenache, 33% Mourvèdre, 33% Syrah. Biodynamic. "Tasted from concrete, where it's been maturing since the beginning, the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Villages Cuvee Trois Cepages is equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre from the commune of Ste. Cécile les Vignes. This is lovely stuff—dark, rich, earthy and savory—supple upfront but adding dusty tannins on the long finish. It should drink well for close to a decade." — 90-92 Points, Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate (Nov. 2017)
